"Together we are strong" was the combined motto of the night on November 11th 2008. Five Chefs, Celebrities and some Juventute children met in Salzburg to bake more than 6000 cookies. Representing the main sponsor ACREG, and taking up the rolling pin himself was Mr. Markus Österreicher with the help of the best cooks of Austria, Mrs Johanna Maier and the fastest racing woman of Austria, Bianca Steiner.
The children from Pro Juventute who had travelled from all provinces were visibly excited and only stopped in their enthusiasm once the dough was ready.
The cookies sold very well at this years TISSOT Ice Hockey Charity on November 27th 2008. We are very proud to have doubled our net proceeds and under the patronage of the strongest man of Austria Franz Müllner and the former Miss Austria, Isabella Stangl we handed over a cheque for € 5,000.
As in previous years, the celebrities played hard at the Salzburger Mozart ice and Team ACREG had to concede a very close defeat against the team TISSOT.
But the longest game was soon forgotten and together with celebrities from the world of sport, culture and economics the celebration lasted unteil the eary hours.
To raise more needed funds for the very urgent reconstruction works on the first Pro-Juventute home, some very exclusive items were auctioned off. With numerous Austrian Musicians providing the mood a grand total of € 50,000 was raised.
